OpenAir's newest addition, Movimientos, showcases an alternative view of Latin American music and culture and explores the depths of the London/UK Latin and global music scene. DJ Cal Jader brings the tunes with an across the board selection from folkloric roots & global fusions to Urban Latin and cutting edge electronic, with regular special features and interviews with the artists, bands, performers, filmmakers & cultural protagonists at the forefront of a diverse scene.
Movimientos runs regular Latin American cultural events combining music with documentary films, performance art and poetry. It also programmes the Latin section of Global Local - a festival project that seeks to support and showcase new & exciting artists.

Cal Jader welcomes one of Cuba's foremost modern Son bands Asere into the studio for some chat, delving into their recent history and their collaboration with the legendary drummer Billy Cobham, playing tracks from their highly acclaimed new album "Junio Groove" with it's fresh take on traditional Son music, plus they bless us with a little live session.
Cal Jader is joined by the amazing Cuban MCs and singers Ogguere and Danay, to talk about and play tracks from the recent Havana Cultura project, masterminded by Gilles Peterson and Roberto Fonseca, alongside one of the producers on the album Vince Vella. Complete with live tracks and improvisations recorded in the studio as well as some exclusive dubplates from some of Vince’s productions.

Movimientos and Open Air are excited to present an exclusive interview and session with the one and only King of the Bongo Mr Manu Chao. With Manu playing 3 tracks live in the studio, the show also features exclusive tracks and remixes as well as indepth conversation with the man himself.
Cal Jader talks with Alborada Films' Pablo Navarrete about his new film "Inside The Revolution" and they play exclusive tracks from the Venezuelan underground music scene and the Hip Hop Revolucion movement in Latin America featuring artists La Redonda, Actitud Maria Marta, El Area 23 and ska band Palmeras Kannibales.
In Episode 2, Cal Jader is joined by musician Kishon Khan and they discuss and play tracks from his new project Lokkhi Terra which combines traditional Bengali music with Latin and African rhythms. Preceeded by a selection of cutting edge Asian-Latin fusion and some exclusive tracks.
In Episode 1, DJ Cal Jader presents Musica Latina Clandestina with a show dedicated to Peruvian sounds, and more specifically Chicha music -- a variation of Cumbia. He is joined by special guest Gareth Finnegan, leader of London's only Chicha band.
